Tribble Month September 2020 Edition!

Oh no, what’s happening, what is this? Wasn’t FFM over? Then who is… SPLONK!
Not so fast, kiddos! The writing isn’t over just yet? I mean, come on, is it ever really over? The imagination is ever awake, the creative juices always boiling in our very beings, and that itch to write never quite goes away, no matter how drained our brains may be or how mangled up and bloody our hands end up from typing so much.
Introducing Tribble Month – September 2020 Edition! What is Tribble Month, you ask? Think it’s Flash Fiction Month’s rebellious baby cousin.
If July left you tired but with a head filled with more ideas than you could put down in paper (or computer, whatever floats your boat), take what’s left of August to catch your breath and prepare for yet another painful wondrous adventure so dangerous and deadly thrilling and memorable even a hobbit would envy you. Announcement (URGENT!)

Alright dA-ers, listen up!
Yesterday, on my way to work from class, I spotted a tiny bundle along the curb of a highly transited road. It turned out to be a kitten. I parked the car, ran to her, snatched her from the starting rain (no kidding), and after a few scratches of fear and omg what the fuck are you doing, I got her to my car and headed home. So, now I have a lovely little kitten in my garage, meowing for a mommy that won't come, afraid of every single sound, and looking for a loving and caring home.
Sadly, to my most profound dismay, seeing as I long for a feline cuddly ball of hair, I cannot keep her, lest I want to end up homeless (something I'd consider given other circumstances, but c'est la vie). So I am giving her temporary housing while I desperately search for a forever home to this gorgeous baby. Based on some research and inquiries, she's about a month old, maybe a tiny bit more.

So, SHOUTOUT TO ALL DEVIANT ANIMAL LOVERS!
I am willing to cost all of the healthcare aspects of the kitten (shots, meds [if needed], neutering, etc.) AND if I have some money left (for you see, I am a broke fool as well), I could help pay for the flight of the kitty. If she is indeed a bit over a month old, that gives us about 2-3 months to prepare and coordinate all that has to be done before neutering (I was told that can be done after the kitty's 4 months or older, I can check and update on this as soon as I got the info.)
IF you are the lucky deviant who will adopt the biggest joy of your life, please please please, give me a note and we can arrange accordingly. I don't want her to be put in a shelter where she'll be kept in a cage all day or, worse, killed, that's not what I saved her for. So please, if you would like her or if you know anyone who would and is a responsible, loving kitty future parent, let me know ASAP.

UPDATE
Today, after little more than four hours of waiting time and hunger and cold, the kitty was checked out by a vet. She tested negative for parasites (hooray!), but still was given some preventive med, her little paw cushions seemed to have been burnt from walking in the hot pavement, but after some cleaning up and applying of this solution the vet told me she should be just fine. Since she's so small we have to wait 2-3 weeks to give her the first round of meds, and a couple of months at least to sterilize. All in all, she's a feisty sweetheart!

As we can see, she likes to play, she learned to use the litter box on her first try, and she eats all her food (and loves to be cuddled and searches for your hand to do it)

I found someone who wants the kitten. Woot woot!
The downside? The person live in Omaha, Nebraska. Another downer? I don't like there. I did say I would send her anywhere so long as it was a caring, forever home, however, I don't want to send the little creature in cargo. She's so small and I don't want that for her. So, I need a sort of kitten chaperon to escort her in the passenger's cabin during the trip. I cover all the kitten's expenses, as promised, I just need someone travelling from Puerto Rico to Omaha in about a month or so.
If anyone happens to know of a person that fits these requirements, please please please let me know ASAP so I can begin arrangements and vet consults and such.

Alright, I need assistance.
I am in a weekend holiday with my parents. The only technology I have is my phone, and it costs me blood, sweat , and tears to even load a page (stupid crappy wi-fi!)
Today's challenge requires joining the official FFM chat, butfor the reason Imentioned below, I cannot access it. So...
Could anyone tell me what it is? XD I know the point is to network, but I'm neither a networker nor do I have the proper means to even try.
Help? Pretty please?
Should anyone accept this mission, just comment and I will hope the internet here will let me see it in time so I can write and, hopefully, post on time.

Way overdo developments

Wow.
It's been forever since I've updated this journal. Perhaps it has to do with the fact that I have kind of given up on writing journals of any kind for my own good, but I guess this one won't hurt.
All has been well, ups and downs of course, that just happens to be life. I must say, however, that I am getting discouraged. I made a detailed list and plan for all my New Year resolutions, and although I've managed to progress well in some, most of them are threatening to fall and crash. I'm sure I'll escape this failure slump soon, it is surely not the last one, but while it leaves and I rearrange my schedule to get back on track everything becomes meh.
Enough boo-hooing, on to the good news!
My mock birthday celebration is coming up soon, and I decided that I loved Merida enough to make a dress inspired from hers to wear it
For all of those who don't know, I am a proud Brave addict I absolutely love all of Merida, she's simply badass (and let's not get started on her awesome hair and bow skills!) At first it looked simple enough: look for a pre-made dress that I can simply cut and adjust and voilá, I'll be Merida for one day... or maybe not?
It turns out that the fashion trends these days (terrible for my antiquated ways) are completely away from the clothing I need, so I ended up getting two bed dressing sets (the first one kind of sucked) and two cloth place mats to make my dress from scratch.
This coming from a person whose sewing skills are limited to small plushies and has never used a sewing machine in her life.
So yeah, that's what's been happening for the last... two weeks-ish? Since I don't really have experience and I am doing all of this by hand it's taken me a rather longer time than expected (not to mention sudden distractions and pop up situations.) Thankfully though, I am pleased to say that the dress is 98% done, missing only the elbow ruffles and the final and minor adjustments
Upon completion, I will see if I can improvise a quick petticoat to make the skirt puff a bit and then I will upload some photos of the final product (for those who have asked about it)
Until then, which should be tonight!
